That’s why we’ve intentionally designed Independent Living to be less about changing that life and more about choosing how you want it to continue: at your pace, on your terms, with support available whenever you need it.
Finding the Best Fit
Independent Living is designed for seniors who value autonomy with fewer daily responsibilities. This option typically works best for seniors who meet some or all of these descriptions:
- In good health and do not require assistance for daily activities.
- Would like to forego the responsibilities of owning and maintaining a home.
- Would prefer to live in a community with peers.
- Would like to participate in social activities with other seniors.
- Would prefer not to drive.
Never One-Size-Fits-All
Moving to a senior living community isn’t about slowing down. It’s about having the freedom to spend time doing what you love most—because you’ve earned it! Baptist Retirement Community residents enjoy the ease of maintenance-free living in beautiful residences, surrounded by like-minded neighbors. With unlimited access to an array of services and amenities, every day is an opportunity to choose your own adventure.
Here's what you can expect:
- All inside and outside maintenance on the residence, including trash pick-up, repairs, pest control and general maintenance duties
- Basic cable and water provided; electricity is also provided in the apartments
- Lawn upkeep, tree trimming and more
- Main Street Café offering breakfast, lunch and dinner options as well as free campus delivery
- Transportation to personal health appointments and to scheduled community trips and events
- An on-campus Urgent Care Clinic (operated by Shannon Clinic)
- Wellness Centers with exercise equipment
- Clubhouses and an activity room which may be reserved for parties, family gatherings, game nights and more
- Guest rooms for visiting family and friends
- Safety staff available through weekday nights and around the clock on weekends
- Medical Alert Pendants are available for residents living in the high rise
- Housekeeping Services
- On-site pharmacy with free on-campus delivery
- Campus volunteer opportunities
- Vast array of life enrichment opportunities
- On-site laundry areas
- Priority access to campus healthcare options and amenities
- Safety officer patrolling campus nights, weekends and holidays
