Dementia Support
Our unique, faith-based approach to serving seniors living with a dementia diagnosis is delivered through SparkHappiness Memory Care by Buckner programming.
SparkHappiness draws on the cherished faith-based experiences and memories of seniors from their childhood to inspire comfort, peace, and joy. Designed for those living with dementias like Vascular dementia, Alzheimer’s, Lewy Body, and Parkinson’s Disease dementia, the program uses familiar prayers, hymns, stories, and traditions to gently spark treasured memories. Pairing this approach with the latest dementia-science based approaches creates a memory care setting where residents experience less pain and agitation, and more opportunities for peace.
Memory care residents and families can expect:
- 24-hour care available to provide assistance with activities of daily living
- All utilities are provided: electricity, cable, phone, water, trash, Wi-Fi
- Transportation to medical and health appointments
- Routine personal laundry and housekeeping services
- Natural lighting throughout the homes through the via skylights and large windows and tangible connections to the outdoors
- Spacious, secure courtyard with large porches
- Open living, dining, and casual outdoor areas
- 28 total rooms – 26 individual and 2 suites for couples (14 rooms in each house)
- Basic cable and telephone provided
- Engaging life-enrichment activities
- Wellness and spiritual opportunities

- Priority access to on-campus Shannon Clinic and campus services
